Lake Windermere

This lake is 14.8 square km and is the longest lake in the district. (approx 10 miles long)

We took the boat trip from Bowness to Lakeside, then we caught the steam train on to Haverthwaite and did the same journey in reverse.

​

We stopped for lunch in Lakeside and had a super view of the lake from the upstairs cafe.

​

There is so much to see as you sit and enjoy the ride on the boat.   The round trip made a whole day out for us with the various stops.
