We arrived at Lakeside by boat and after a wander around and a lovely lunch, we boarded the train to Haverthwate.

The journey was a short one which took us alongside the narrow part of Lake Windermere and through some wooded areas.  The colours in the trees, the sound of the train and the steam was quite relaxing and had the journey been longer, one of us might have fallen asleep.

Once at Haverthwaite we had a quick look around and the boarded the train again for the return journey to Lakeside
